Honoured to convene the first PAM CPD Design Lecture Series 2026 alongside my co-convenor, Professor Dr Veronica Ng.

We were privileged to host award-winning Malaysian architect Ar. Wooi Lok Kuang, who shared profound insights into the culture of materials and tropical tectonics, exploring how craft, climate, and context shape meaningful architecture in our region.

The evening reaffirmed the importance of rigorous design discourse and continuous professional development in elevating our built environment.

Looking forward to more stimulating and critical conversations with the next seven distinguished speakers from across the region.

Finally had the opportunity to experience James Turrell’s installation, Straight Up. It is a powerful installation shaped entirely by sky and time, a quiet reminder of how light and perception can redefine space.

These recognitions mark my sixth design award over the past two years, reinforcing my commitment to thoughtful, human-centred design that elevates the built environment. Grateful to the team, collaborators, and clients who make this journey possible.

Reflecting on the passing of Frank Gehry today. He was a visionary architect who wasn’t afraid to embrace his artistic identity and go against the conventional way of designing buildings.

Three years ago, I had the privilege of visiting the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. This building, like many of his other works, demonstrates the bold nature of his ideas, exploring the sculptural building form, fluidity of space, and use of materials.

The world will definitely miss this one-of-a-kind talent in our profession. You’ve shown what architecture can be when art is involved. Rest in peace, giant.

first encounter with kahn’s work - the indian institute of management in ahmedabad india.

the sheer scale of building complex can only be appreciated by being silence, letting the light and shadow highlight the space, material, and proportion.

fun fact - had to purchase an indian concert ticket to enter the university compound as public is prohibited from visiting

Honoured to present Timber Flow: The Folded Crest by to YB Datuk Seri Haji Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister of Plantation and Commodities, and Malaysian Timber Council CEO Pn. Noraihan during the opening ceremony of the biennial Malaysian Wood Expo (MWE) 2025.

The design installation, made of KSK Semangkuk and Chengal celebrates innovation, design, and the future of sustainable timber, will be on display from 10-11 November 2025 at MITEC.

Delighted to unveil Luminous Weave art installation for MIID REKA Design Week (RDW) 2025.

This installation, created in collaboration with Megalucent and Lumbermart, aims to explore the balance between structure and flexibility, light and material, turning a technical lighting system into a sculptural expression of movement and design.

Luminous Weave is on display at Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall for 3 months until January 2026.

Spent my Saturday convening, emceeing, and moderating PAM World Architecture Day (WAD) 2025!

This year’s theme, “Design for Strength,” echoes UIA’s call for architects worldwide to move beyond short-term fixes and create built environments that can withstand, adapt, and rebuild. Architecture isn’t just about shelter — it’s about equity, continuity, and resilience, especially in times of change and crisis.

Also had the joy of playing tour guide for new friends from Thailand and India, exploring six incredible buildings across downtown Kuala Lumpur!

It feels surreal to receive an Honorary Mention in the Exhibition Design category at the biannual Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) Awards 2025 in Manila for my project “Whisper of Timber.”

Thank you Dad for collecting this award on my behalf.

The APSDA Awards is one of the region’s most prestigious recognitions, with 167 submissions from 13 countries, representing leading practices from 18 national associations. To have my work acknowledged on such a stage, alongside world-renowned designers, is truly humbling and inspiring.

Whisper of Timber is a celebration of the beauty, resilience, and sustainability of Malaysian timber and it is now being showcased at FIND Design Fair Asia 2025 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

Grateful for this journey, and for the support that continues to make these milestones possible.
