Instructions for use
Mix at 5 ml per liter of clean water and apply with every top-up or change of the nutrient reservoir.
For substrates which already contain a fertilizer, such as Lechuza-Pon, use 3 ml/litre for the first two months.
For established and heavy feeding houseplants, increase dosage to 10ml/L during periods of active growth.

Q: What is the difference between Hydroponic Houseplant Focus and original Houseplant Focus?
A: Houseplant Focus contains organic additives such as humic acid and seaweed extract. These are beneficial ingredients when growing in soil as they condition the soil and provide extra bio stimulant effects to the plants. For hydro and semi-hydro systems however the organic additives can cause blockages, staining, and at worst could result in a smelly system prone to pathogen attack. For this reason, a purely mineral feed is recommended.
Q: Why is the Full analysis not printed on the label?
Due to the fertilizer regulations, we can only list some of the minerals on the label BUT rest assured that all Growth Technology nutrients and feeds contain all 12 essential elements required for plant growth, in the correct balance for optimal nutrition.

A: Absolutely! To use Hydroponic Houseplant Focus with organic additives which are labelled as suitable for hydroponics, make up the reservoir solution as per the instructions for use, mix well, and add the additive at the final stage according to the manufacturer’s recommended dilution rate.
Hints and Tips for successful growing with Hydroponic Houseplant Focus
Flush roots and substrate once a month with clean water to remove any mineral build up.
Refresh nutrient solution once every two weeks instead of topping up, use the opportunity to clean the reservoir to remove any algae build-up.
If unsure of dilution rate, start small and build up the concentration if the plants are looking happy and healthy.
Plants can be sensitive to additives in tap water such as chlorine and chloramine, so for best results mix 10% tap water with 90% rain, filtered, or deionized water to top up your nutrient solution. Adding a small amount of tap water back into the nutrient reservoir will help stabilize the pH around the root zone and ensure maximum nutrient availability.
Avoid using chemical water softeners to treat hard tap water – these can add undesirable chemicals to your nutrient reservoir and upset the balance of nutrition for your plants. If you suffer with hard water, filtering or mixing with rain or deionized water is the best approach.
