The UTPSASC development at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in Seri Iskandar brings together a student centre and accommodation within a site opposite the existing student villages. Completed in 2025, the mixed-use development supports a connected campus environment with accommodation for over 1,000 students.

The student centre adopts a clear and contemporary design language, defined by a double-volume atrium, full-height curtain walls, and a distinctive slanted roof that anchors the arrival experience. The accommodation blocks balance privacy and communal living through efficient layouts and custom-built furnishings, creating a connected environment that supports everyday student life.

TRX Citypark is a 10-acre, free-access public rooftop park set atop The Exchange TRX mall in Kuala Lumpur. Guided by principles of tropical climate, urban connectivity, and community - the design brings a generous green space into the heart of a dense urban district. Shade and natural ventilation create a comfortable environment across a series of connected zones, while pathways draw the park into the surrounding city, making it easy to reach and move through.

Pavilion-style structures sit naturally within the landscape, and open lawns provide space for events, gatherings, and everyday activity. Quieter corners offer room for rest and reflection, welcoming families, children, and adults alike. Retail and community amenities are integrated throughout, positioning the park as a shared space within the city.

Aneka Walk is a canopied urban promenade at SA Sentral, Shah Alam, conceived as a contemporary public street supporting retail, events, and daily activity. The project functions as both a pedestrian link and a social destination, supporting flexible programming within a comfortable, shaded environment designed for year-round use.

The design creates a cohesive public realm that encourages movement and informal interaction. More than a thoroughfare, Aneka Walk strengthens connectivity across the wider precinct while supporting community engagement and a more people-centred urban experience.

Phase 1 marks the first stage of the IJN (Institute Jantung Negara) expansion, addressing immediate operational requirements while establishing a framework for future growth. The project improves key hospital support facilities and campus accessibility.

The design adopts a restrained contemporary language, defined by aluminium-clad vertical fins and a clean contemporary facade.Emphasis on order, rhythm, and functionality allows the building to integrate seamlessly with the existing hospital environment, supporting IJN’s role as a leading national healthcare institution.

Designed for learning, the Medical Academies Training Center is now fully activated as a working academic environment.

The courtyard, training spaces, and shared areas support daily teaching, examinations, and professional exchange - demonstrating how thoughtful planning and passive design translate into a calm, functional setting for medical education.

Sheraton Johor Bahru is a 30-year-old mixed-use structure reimagined as a contemporary 345-room hotel within an active commercial hub. Guided by an adaptive reuse approach, the design preserves the original framework while reshaping it into a warm and hospitable environment.

Natural light, clear circulation, and spatial openness were prioritised to enliven the interiors and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Limited ceiling heights were resolved through coordinated services and the strategic use of finishes and lighting - enhancing spatial perception and comfort. Prefabricated concrete panels streamlined construction and ensured acoustic performance, reflecting a practical and sustainable approach.

Situated near the Johor - Singapore border and future RTS station, the project brings renewed activity to the area - transforming a dormant structure into a vibrant destination that restores pride and life to the neighbourhood.

The design of The Conlay by E&O evokes a sophisticated urban resort in the heart of a vibrant tropical metropolis. Situated between the Kuala Lumpur City Centre and the Royal Selangor Golf Course, the striking architecture stands proud within the skyline and surrounding parklands.

The 52-storey structure is punctuated by three sky decks made possible by adventurous structural transfers. These distinct vertical zones are contained within a unifying screen grid that responds to the tropical climate with deep overhangs to protect the interior from rain and sun. The success of this building is a brilliant collaboration with Kerry Hill Architects.

With quiet gratitude, we have drawn this exhibition to a close. We are reminded that every space and every encounter holds within it the traces of many hands
and minds — many of whom made this possible.

Thank you to everyone who has walked these halls and reflected with us. This chapter may be closing, but its conversations will continue — in our work, and in the stories we continue to be a part of.

Until the next chapter,

It starts with a question of purpose,
moves through years of making,
and finds its voice in the people who keep building forward.

As this exhibition soon draws to a close,
we look back at the work — and the people,
who kept things moving, quietly, purposefully,
setting other wheels in motion.

While the doors are still open, do step in.

group, design, partnership;
practice equals possibilities

Our first ever publication that captures the spirit of GDP for our first 35 years, from 1990 until 2025 — through the inclusion of select projects framed through varied critical lenses as well as interviews of diverse personalities from both within and outside of the practice.

All of which that culminates through the energy of camaraderie and the possibilities that come with embracing it.
