Landed in the Sky: Redefining Vertical Living through the Lens of the Automobile
In the modern urban landscape, the "condominium" has often meant a compromise—trading the convenience of a driveway for the density of a high-rise. As Architects, we asked: Why should the journey home end at a basement parking lot or a podium?
Our latest design concept proposal, The Enclave , introduces a paradigm shift in vertical residency: a "Landed in the Sky" experience where your vehicle travels with you, right to your front door.
The Challenge: Engineering the Seamless Ascent
The primary hurdle wasn’t just getting a car to the 13th floor; it was designing a driving experience that felt like a natural extension of the home, not a tedious commute through a concrete silo.
To solve this, our team done a rigorous analytical analysis to balance efficiency with comfort. We tested multiple configurations to find the "Goldilocks zone" of vertical travel.
Data-Driven Design: The 3-Minute Homebound Journey
The 13-Floor Sweet Spot: Through comparative study, we determined that a 13-level tower (12 residential floors + rooftop) provides the perfect balance of premium density and travel efficiency. Journey within 3 minutes is the design objective.
Architecture of the "Arrival"
We didn’t just design a ramp; we designed a "Nature’s Enclave." Bio-Cell Integration: To avoid the "dark tunnel" feel of traditional car parks, we integrated "bio-cells"—large light wells that channel natural sunlight deep into the central core and ground-floor areas.
The ramp is structurally isolated from the residential units to minimise noise and vibration, ensuring that the convenience of a car doesn't compromise the tranquility of the home.
The Enclave is more than a building; Let redefining Vertical Living through the Lens of the Automobile
