Doesn't matter if you work from home or not, study/home office is an important place to get your work done. You'd need enough desk space for you to work while also having enough storage to store all your books and documents, etc.

Finding the balance of open and closed storage are also important. Open storage is for the things that you use a lot and for display items. Closed storage is for the items you probably don't need that often and also for you to hide the clutters and mess ;)
