To design a condo unit intended for long-term urban living, this residence adopts a refined modern contemporary approach that emphasizes restraint, spatial clarity, and material quality. Rather than relying on bold visual statements, the design is shaped by proportion, clean lines, and subtle detailing to create a calm and timeless living environment.
The communal areas are planned in an open layout, seamlessly connecting the living, dining, and kitchen spaces to enhance visual continuity and spatial flow. Integrated cabinetry and concealed storage solutions minimize visual clutter, allowing functional elements to blend into the architecture and maintain a clean, cohesive façade.
A strong linear language defines the interior, expressed through vertical and horizontal articulations, wall paneling, and subtle metal inlays that establish structure and order. These architectural elements are balanced with upholstered panels, textiles, and soft furnishings, introducing warmth into the contemporary setting.
The color palette is intentionally low-saturated, combining shades of grey, soft neutrals, and warm wood tones to cultivate a composed and understated atmosphere. Stone surfaces and metallic accents are applied selectively to enhance depth and refinement without overpowering the overall composition.
Lighting is treated as an integral design element, with layered illumination comprising ceiling coves, linear lighting, and indirect cabinet lights. This approach enhances architectural depth while maintaining a warm and inviting ambiance suitable for everyday living.
Private spaces are conceived as tranquil retreats. Upholstered feature walls, symmetrical compositions, and soft lighting foster a sense of enclosure and relaxation, while functional elements such as study areas and storage are seamlessly integrated to preserve visual clarity and spatial harmony.
