Paint Impressions Paint Impressions was inspired by Annie Sloan Chalk paints. Annie Sloan Chalk paint is developed by Annie Sloan in 1990. Annie Sloan is a decorative paint.

Annie was seeking a paint that would have many uses. It is not a chalk board paint, but Annie named it Chalk paint, because when dry it has a chalky feel. Annie designed the paint to have an “Old World” European look. The colors are bright and rich. When waxing it afterwards it may be darkened. Currently, there are 33 colors in the range. It is very easy to mix your own colors with what you have.

The Annie Sloan Chalk paint allows furniture to be painted without priming or even sanding. It adheres to almost any surface from old waxed pine to melamine and also varnished pieces of wood. The paint is very thick and it is very important to stir the paint before using. The paint contains very little VOC’s and no lead. It is therefore kind to your environment. The paint is exterior and interior rated. The paint can be used in your garden, on walls, on metal, on floors, on fabric, and on kitchen cabinets. You can even dye your curtains and use it to paint pictures. One can create wonderful textures with the paint. It can be used thick or thin, to make items looked cracked and very old, for white washing, etc. One can just become so creative when using Annie Sloan Chalk paint. We host workshops where training is offered in techniques and practical advice on color so that you can become a confident designer in your own house by expressing yourself in your own personal style.

Revamped this very old display cabinet with Annie Sloan by mixing Burgundy and Abbuson blue for the inside. Then decoupage the background with serviettes. On the outside some embellishments painted with Violet and sealed with Pearl Glaze ascent. Painted the rest by mixing some grey's.
