The digital divide in Nigeria is significant, with roughly 62% of the population still offline as of late 2023, according to World Bank data. Key factors contributing to this divide include limited digital literacy, the affordability of digital devices and internet services, poor infrastructure, and pronounced disparities between urban and rural areas. Additionally, a notable gender gap exists, with women having less access and fewer digital skills compared to men.
