Garden Love Concept, an urban garden centre that promotes potager gardening is hiring.

We are a garden centre located in Magboro by Punch Headquarters off Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. We promote organic and potager gardening for urban dwellers, and deal in a vast array of fruit trees, herbs, vegetables, ornamentals, succulents, potting mixes, planting mediums, gardening paraphernalia etc

We are looking to hire an individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about organic gardening, an individual with intrapreneurial skill set who can work and coordinate with minimal supervision.

A BSc in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture or any adjunct science is required.

Experience in sales and business administration will be an advantage.

Salary and compensation is attractive and negotiable.

Allow the top 1/3rd of the soil to dry out before watering; then water deeply until the water drains out the drip holes in the bottom of the pot.

Goji berry’s reputation, as a superfood, stretches back to ancient times and it's well known for it's culinary uses; as an excellent source of anti-oxidants and other medicinal properties.
Growing Goji berry plants require part to full sun, in well-draining soil with a pH between 6.5 and 8.0.
Trellis your goji berry to make for an easy harvest and good airflow.
Goji berries require routine watering, pruning, and pest control to thrive.
Dried goji berries are commonly eaten as a snack, topping, or smoothie ingredient.

Herb to know: Common mountain mint
While most of us are familiar with popular mints like spearmint and peppermint, there are many lesser known mint relatives with fantastic herbal and aesthetic benefits.
One of such is
Pycnanthemum virginianum - common mountain mint.
Though not related to the true mints, or Mentha, the common mountain mint makes a good substitute for other mints in making tea & other culinary delights. It also has several herbal medicinal uses.
(Always consult your doctor before taking any herbal remedies)
When crushed, the foliage releases a strong mint scent & the fresh leaves is said to have insect repellent abilities.
It's flowers which smells great, attracts crowds of pollinators (bees, wasps, flies, small butterflies).
Grow it in part shade with medium to moist soils.
