“When Everything Fell Apart”
Mma sat alone in her small room, staring at her last ₦2,000.
She had lost her job. Her friends had stopped calling. Her rent was due, and the landlord had already warned her.
Every night she asked herself, “What did I do wrong in life?”
She tried job after job — cleaning, selling recharge cards, even tutoring children — but nothing worked.
One night, as she sat in darkness after her electricity was cut off, she whispered,
“God, please show me what to do.”
