Block B at Cobercokwartier is taking shape!
Recently we visited the construction site to review the sample walls — the moment when material, colour and detailing truly come together.
Red pigmented concrete, a red mortar joint and cantilevered headers in the plinth define the appearance of the corner building.
Together with the strong horizontal articulation, this creates a robust and recognisable architectural expression. The distinctive corner building marks one of the entrances to the Cobercokwartier and forms part of the new urban ensemble surrounding the historic dairy factory.
Rounded concrete arches and façade openings, combined with wrap-around balconies, emphasise the building’s corner position within the urban fabric and give it a distinct architectural identity.
Great to see the design gradually becoming reality.
