Ivar van der Zwan Gebouwen waar je telkens iets nieuws aan ontdekt.

Workshop architecten (Ard Hoksbergen, Milad Pallesh en Ivar van der Zwan) streeft naar gebouwen met een gelaagdheid. En naar gebouwen die de gebruiker verleiden, zonder het gebruik te dicteren. Het ‘mee-ontwerpen’ met context, gebruiker en materiaal is altijd het uitgangspunt in onze projecten. We ambiëren gebouwen die genereus zijn naar zowel hun context als hun gebruikers: tijdloze gebouwen die

veranderingen kunnen absorberen, die zich vanzelfsprekend in hun omgeving voegen en daar een extra laag aan toevoegen. Maakbaarheid en ambachtelijkheid zijn daarbij de pijlers van onze ontwerpen. Er wordt bij Workshop architecten gebouwd en gewerkt: wij zijn een ambachtelijk laboratorium, waarin we binnen bestaande tradities met aandacht experimenteren en vernieuwen.

Our project Houtrak in Oostenburg, Amsterdam is completed. The two-part prefabricated building, one part clad in aluminium, one part in re-used Azobé wood, has a hybrid, circular construction.
Designed for Vorm in a collaboration between Workshop architecten and ML_A .

1/50 scale model of the front facade from our Houtrak building.
The facade will be fabricated with recycled Azobe besides the fully wooden balcony construction.
