Padmore & Barnes X Neighbourhood - An Object of Character
For nearly a century, Padmore & Barnes has remained faithful to a way of making shoes that values craftsmanship over trends and character over perfection.
Founded in Kilkenny, Ireland in 1934, the company became known for its hand-stitched moccasins and was responsible for producing some of the earliest versions of the now-iconic Wallabee for Clarks.
Originally crafted in Kilkenny and later adopted by generations of artists, musicians and makers, the silhouette became an icon not through fashion, but through culture.
For this collaboration, Padmore & Barnes and Neighbourhood came together around a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, colour and timeless design. Drawing on nearly a century of shoemaking heritage and our own perspective on culture, community and quality, we set out to create something that feels both familiar and entirely its own.
More than a shoe, this collaboration is an object shaped by time, tradition and the hands that made it.
Presented through the colours of our Monet-inspired studio, each pair becomes part of a larger study in colour, texture and craftsmanship.
Designed to be worn.Made to be lived in.Chosen to last.
