Transformation : a modernist 2-story bank from the 1970s transformed into a lively fashion knowledge center and new living space on top.

The goal: turn this architectural gem into a space for fashion research and production.

The approach: strip it back to its raw essence, highlight its original features, and add a transparent new volume. Façades remain as open as possible—showcasing the designers at work and bringing new life to the building.

Keeping memories alive

Transformation : formal gas factory, now a lively hotspot for food, music, and culture.

Our task? Turning the historic gas factory — built by office founder Louis J.P. Kooken (1867-1940) — into a jazz club, restaurant, café, and coffee roastery.

The approach of the transformation was to keep the monumental and architectural qualities of the building, minimizing the appearance of interventions. The only two visible interventions from the exterior are the two glass volumes that function as entrance and landing area.

Donna is an innovative building located at , designed to be as dynamic as its environment

Donna was designed in a casco system, with a clear structural grid, that makes the spaces flexible. The building currently houses living, working and public functions. These functions can evolve over time while maintaining the building's quality. The building also contain double-heights and voids that create a community within the building
