Bold Runners in Paris during Paris Design Week . 🤍

We’re very happy to be part of House of Cassandre - initiative by the incredible Marie-Cassandre Bultheel and her vision of Magnetic Living. With a lot of help from Sita Sunar to make it happen. Very proud of you.

A celebration of interiors with spirit. Of objects with character, craftsmanship and a story to tell.

Not all our runners are made with the same yarn.
For our regular rugs and hallway runners, we use a single-ply wool yarn. This gives the rug a softer, more relaxed look and allows the natural character of the wool to shine through.
For our stair runners, we use a two-ply twisted yarn, where two strands are twisted together to create a stronger and more resilient yarn.
Because a staircase simply asks a little more from a runner.
The result is a subtle difference you may not immediately see — but one that matters when it comes to durability and everyday use.
Same beautiful New Zealand wool. Different construction. Made for a different purpose.

When we started Bold Runners, we made a conscious choice to work exclusively with colours derived from nature.

It’s not always the easiest way. Natural dyes can be unpredictable, and finding the right shade, depth and balance takes time, patience and a lot of experimenting.

That’s why we’re lucky to work closely with an experienced family-run atelier in India, where the journey with natural dyes began over a decade ago with the owner’s father.
What started as his passion has grown into a beautiful craft that is now continued by his family. Their knowledge and experience are an important part of bringing our colours to life.

We love the character that comes with working this way — the subtle variations, unexpected tones and beautiful imperfections that make every colour unique.

It takes a little more time, but we wouldn’t want it any other way. 🤎

It took us quite a while, but we did it!
Our first try-out of a Bold Runner on a curved staircase.

We lose a little bit of the pattern here and there, but we’re absolutely in love with the result!

We still need to install these beautiful antique second-hand stair rods, do a little painting, and then our mission is accomplished. ✨

We’ve fallen in love with the Naja Naja design.
Here’s a glimpse of how this statement runner looks with antique stair rods.

As always, each piece is handmade from 100% New Zealand wool and coloured exclusively with natural pigments.

Looking for a fully organic option? This design is also available in GOTS-certified organic wool, combined with the same natural dyes.

Each runner is made to order, with a production time of approximately 8–10 weeks.
