Did you know that Flevopolder used to be the bottom of the sea? In reference to this spectacular fact, tiles in the Sanitary Pavillions have been placed at the height of the N.A.P. (Normal Amsterdam Water Level). This ‘NAP’ is the reference point for all levels in the Netherlands and comparable to the reference point, ‘sea level’. Flevopolder on average lays 5 metres below N.A.P. ⁠

Fresh woodland air, daylight and sounds can all flow into the pavilions unobstructed. The skylights play an important role in permeability: they offer light during the day – and a view of the stars on clear nights, for those who care to look up.⁠

De verblijfsaccommodatie voor de nationale scoutingsorganisatie bestaat onder meer uit tachtig overnachtingsplaatsen en aanvullende functies als wasgelegenheden. MOST Architecture en TomDavid Architecten zijn verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerp.

Het bezoek van Koningin Máxima stond in het teken van de activiteiten en projecten op het gebied van duurzaamheid. Koningin Máxima heeft een uitgebreide rondleiding door het gebouw gekregen.

Het duurzame nieuwe Avonturenhuis wordt onder meer gebruikt voor scoutingkampen en evenementen zoals de Nationale Jamboree.

Afgelopen vrijdag heeft Koningin Maxima het Avonturenhuis bezocht tijdens haar werkbezoek aan het Scoutinglandgoed Zeewolde.
Het bezoek stond in het teken van de activiteiten en projecten op het gebied van duurzaamheid. Koningin Máxima heeft een uitgebreide rondleiding door het gebouw gekregen.

Het duurzame nieuwe Avonturenhuis wordt onder meer gebruikt voor scoutingkampen en evenementen zoals de Nationale Jamboree.
