We just received an inspiring brief from a potential client, and we couldn’t wait to dive in. Within no time, we put together a mood board and had an in-depth internal discussion—it’s safe to say we’re already buzzing with ideas!

There’s nothing we love more than working with engaged clients who are excited about the process. And when we’re given a blank canvas with the freedom to make bold design decisions? Even better!

At Cantero Architecture , we don’t just transform and design spaces for you — we elevate their value. Every project we take on is meticulously crafted to strike the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. Our goal? To create homes that inspire, appreciate in value, and deliver a solid return on investment.

From concept to completion, we guide our clients—expats in the Netherlands—through the entire renovation process, ensuring a seamless transition to a space they can truly call home.

While designing a project, we always investigate and select the better materials we can find.

We are continuously on the lookout for more sustainable options with local suppliers, we choose options that help us reduce our carbon footprint and take advantage of existing resources ♻️.

We prioritise materials that have a low environmental impact, a long life-cycle and those which can be reused or maintained.

These are materials that were used for our project “Noorderdwarstraat”. A special home that once used to be a bakery 🥖.

This project’s most relevant change was in the changes we did to its ground floor layout.

We opened up the load-bearing wall of two rooms to connect the kitchen to the dining room, which not only created a spacious living area but also allows a lot of natural light coming in. 🪴🌞

Connecting the kitchen to the dining room🍴is one of the most important changes we did to this house’s layout. It allowed us to design a large island that interacts well between the two spaces.

As the clients are true wine lovers 🍷 we suggested exposing the staircase that gives to the cellar so that they have a direct access and view on it!

This is the ground floor of our project Mathenesserlaan. We achieved dividing its layout by taking advantage of the existing traditional wardrobe with sliding doors which helps divide/connect the living spaces. We renovated, and also redesigned one part of it to provide a better organised storage space connected to the dining room.

This bathroom of warm wood, blue ceramic handcrafted tiles and natural lava stone basins add calming and peaceful touches to this space, allowing the residents to focus on their physical wellness in a relaxing environment.
