September starts with a new project in The Hague.
This week, construction begins on the full renovation of a 250 m², three-storey corner house dating from the late 1920s.
Located in the Bloemenbuurt, the house forms part of a characteristic pre-war neighbourhood whose street plan and urban design were influenced by architect Hendrik Berlage. The area combines several architectural styles, including the Hague School.
Renovating such a house means understanding which qualities should be preserved and where the layout, functionality and comfort need to evolve.
Over the coming months, we will share the process, offering a closer look at our work as interior architects and how we guide international clients through a full-home renovation in the Netherlands.
