Man kan blandt andet prøve kræfter med følgende håndværk: Tømrer, maler, gastronom, bager, landmand, smed, frisør, mekaniker og datamatiker

Man har fortsat følgende fag: Dansk, matematik, engelsk og fysik/kemi

Ja, men hvor er klasserne om samfundsfag og politik, økonomisk sundhed, biologi og menneskers sundhed? Og hvad med kunsten??? Er det nu en selvfølge, at kunst og humaniora ikke længere er nødvendige? F. Eks, vil man studere til arkitekt eller ingeniør, kan det vaere til hjaelp om man har studerede kunst som giver rumfølelse og bedre opmaerksomhed for det miljø, rum og tid som man opholder sig indenfor.... Ihvertfald, efter hvad jeg husker hvad mine laerer for fagene Differentialligninger og finite element analyse fortalt......

Also, another very timely reason why archaeology, as field and discipline, is important: A series in the journal: The Architects Journal that compares the energy use and embodied energy between new buildings and older buildings, where there exist old examples to make real comparisons as physical objects for study. Interesting that one of the articles here uses the Arnol Blackhouse to compare to more modern houses, built by mass builders in the UK, for its embodied/use energy profile. This makes archaeology, conservation and the interpretive work of museums so important for society's abillity to deal with climate change in a fair and common sensical way...... this is why "fabric first" should be the way to design new buildings and renovate historic structures. Only then, when the fabric is optimized for energy efficiency, long life time robustness, build quality and the environmental safety of materials, use, should we begin using energy efficiency technologies like district heating, in most cases, where it is possible to use good building practices and the skills are available or can be trained for. Like in most of Europe!

Interesting new work from the UK Clean Air Task Force who simply took infrared photos of National Grid facilities in Britain and found that there are very large methane leaks from these plants.

Oslo Innovation Week https://oiw.no/oiw-100-pitches will be on the 29th of September, and the entire Oslo Innovation Week starts first on the 27th with many other interesting activities, for sustainability and sustainable investors.
We cannot click our way through to a sustainable world. Someone has to build the physical structures that deliver physical sustainable, like water and food. Software about measuring sustainability is helpful, but we need the other half also, the physical part!
The world needs private and public investment in more SME firms that are innovating sustainable solutions, also for physical constructions that actually deliver environmental services, like pure, clean drinking water, restored ecosystem health, the ecological and environmentally safe processing of waste foods into new foods, instead of using large energy and chemicals with conventional methods of engineering.
