On March 20, 2026, as part of our CPD program, we had the privilege of hosting Mr. Shakti Raj Shrestha for an engaging and insightful session. An accomplished professional in architecture, urban planning, and disaster management, Mr. Shrestha brought a rich blend of academic excellence and practical experience to the discussion. He holds a Bachelorโs degree in Architecture from Kathmandu Engineering College, a Masterโs degree in Urban Planning and Management with a GIS focus from ITC, University of Twente in the Netherlands, and a PhD in Disaster Management from the University of Otago, New Zealand, where his research explored risk, ethics, and law in post-earthquake contexts.
Further enriching his expertise, he has contributed to global research through postdoctoral work at Uppsala University, Sweden, focusing on disaster and ethics. Drawing from his multidisciplinary background, Mr. Shrestha shared valuable perspectives that deepened our understanding of the subject and highlighted critical dimensions of resilient and ethical urban development.
On behalf of everyone present, we extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Shakti Raj Shrestha for his time and for sharing his knowledge and insights with us.
