It’s a win win when you give your plants the consistency that Alocasia crave, and it makes plant chores much easier! Just fill the reservoir when empty and they’re good to go for another couple of weeks!

Grow Pole Mix

We’ve had to pop some of our plants that are starting to size up onto poles, we used to use just spagnum moss poles but as most of you know they quickly dry up, compact and become water phobic. Just annoying to keep moist. So thought it would be the perfect time to make up a premium moss pole mix.

Made with coco husk chips, pine bark, chunky perlite, chunky vermiculite, tree fern fibre, and sphagnum moss. Designed to replace moss-only poles, this airy, moisture-retentive blend promotes strong aerial root attachment and healthier vertical growth for climbing plants like Monstera, Philodendron, pothos and other climbing aroids.

Begonia Mix- we’ve had a few requests to sell what we use for our begonias. Finally we’ve made that happen and have a couple sized bags available 2 and 5L.

We have grown hundreds of begonia now so have had a fair few trials with growing media for them.

Our special begonia mix is blended with- Coco peat to allow moisture retention. You see peat being used mainly as the base but we prefer coco coir over peat, it is not as waterlogging and compacting. Perlite to allow air pockets for the all important oxygen to roots. Pumice to allow for good drainage and prevent waterlogging. Biochar which rids soil of impurities, repels insects and prevents mould. Vermiculite helps aerate soil while retaining moisture and nutrients, releasing them slowly. We haven’t added in any fertilisers this is so you are in control of what your plants are fed and when.

Spent the morning potting up some faves into the gorgeous rice hull pots from

We almost never buy new pots even nursery pots, when there are so many used ones out there that can be recycled, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with them. So when we saw and their renewable, eco friendly pots made from what would have been waste we absolutely had to try them!

We are impressed with how thick and high quality they are we just know they’ll last years and years and it doesn’t hurt that they’re aesthetically beautiful
