🌿 Talk at Canterbury Orchid Society – Monday 7 PM 🌿

I’m looking forward to giving a presentation at the Canterbury Orchid Society meeting next Monday evening at 7 PM.

My talk will be:

“Orchid Species Distribution in Yunnan, China”
Diversity Patterns, Geographic Distribution and Conservation Insights

Yunnan is one of the richest regions in the world for orchid diversity, with an extraordinary range of habitats, elevations and species. I’ll be sharing an overview of where these orchids occur, the patterns behind their distribution, some of the remarkable species found across the province, and the conservation challenges they face.

Having studied and worked with plants from this region for many years, this is a topic particularly close to my interests, and I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to share it with fellow orchid enthusiasts in Canterbury.

Had a nice weekend in Whangarei with all the people in the show. Thank you all the members from both the Whangarei society and Bay of Islands society. So many stunning flowers! Well done!
