iscovered first hand the healing qualities of the exuberant & exotic gardens that flourished. Whilst embracing grief she found her muse of calm & peace, a stillness of natural beauty. Filled with gentle swaying bold plants, luscious leaves & unusual flowers she found her ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Filled with unusual shapes, colours & textures, a wild jungle that delighted the senses. Her unique colour palette with soft earthy tones, harmonises & styles effortlessly with natural interior spaces. Using predominantly mineral pigments, reminiscent of the limestone frescos that captivated her during the eight years she spent in Italy. She is committed to finding & sourcing natural mediums & materials for her work, including biodegradable or compostable packaging. To create a sustainable art practice in harmony with our environment. Although not yet perfect or where she wants it to be, it is a work in progress to continually improve. Each artwork is made with natural hand-made, earth pigment pastels. I love making my own art supplies, working with my hands gets me out of my head and reminds me of my childhood spent mucking around in the garden. The process engages your intuition, enabling an experience that is felt through the senses. A sanctuary of calm, peace and wonder.

Walking through a leafy neighbourhood, flowers spill beyond fences, greens layered upon greens. The mind softens, the breath deepens, shoulders relax, and clarity returns.

Sensorial Garden is an energetic afterglow of walking in nature.

Earth pigments dissolve and colours overlap, like foliage, immersive, felt rather than seen. A sensory awakening that gently lifts the spirit.

I enjoy working of Commissions. My process involves creating a colour palette with you, before I begin. It is inspired by nature, the season of life you’re celebrating and the space where you’d like it to reside.

You can see the initial mood/vision, making custom earth pigment colours, and testing them on canvas before. It really is custom made.

Velvet petals hidden in lush foliage, layers of green. A perfume drifting through a garden in full bloom, expansive, abundant, alive.
‘Field of Senses’ carries the essence of my mothers garden, where I grew up. A patch of paradise. Filled with sunny memories.

Earth pigments look and feel like icing sugar or frosting to the touch. Working with colour in its purest form is so rewarding. Much like baking it takes all your focus, working intuitively by eye instead of following an exact recipe alters the way I show up on canvas.

It develops a relationship with my materials, a love for playing with natures raw colour. A creative alchemist of sorts. Much like I did as a kid.

On our family farm, my sister and I used to play games of stuck in the mud in our gumboots. Laughing so hard, one of us would wet our pants! Our mother thought we were kinda feral. But we didn’t care. Life as a free range child in the 70’s … was magnificent.

Curious about the does and don’ts when styling art? It’s good to know the rules - so you can decide which ones you’ll like to break.

But this one, is a noooooo. Please do not buy art to match your cushions, sofa, carpet. Buy it because you love it, because it moves you, because it excites you, or it challenges you, or delights you, or it soothes your soul.

Creating art is a physical and an emotional experience for an artist. When you’re - feeling it too. It’s a match. A connection. And it says something about you.

Art is a reflection and celebration of chapters in our lives. An awareness, an understanding, an awakening, an appreciation, a conversation starter.

Each limited edition print comes with an authenticity certificate, hand signed and numbered. The 200gsm museum quality paper and Ash box frames are both FSC certified.

The framed prints are bubble wrapped and sit inside a custom envelop cardboard box, which wraps around the frame. And includes extra reinforcing inside the box to protect the corners.

If in the rare event that something arrives damaged, I am happy to replace it. Just take photos of the packaging and any damage and email me asap.
