We represent a number of different groups, and we aim to educate, support, and encourage our affiliated members and the general public in horticulture and home gardening practices for all ages, by shows, presentations, and speakers.
To encourage the activities of all clubs and societies interested in all aspects of horticulture and allied activities and to promote the formation of new groups and their affiliation to the council.
To become involved with gardening programmers in the schools where possible and to include the children in Shows and Displays.
To affiliate and co-operate with any group or groups both National and International with similar objectives.
To provide a community facility for meetings of clubs and societies interested in horticulture or any other subject approved by the Executive committee.

There will be even more orchids to admire with our affiliates, the New Zealand Orchid Society's Winter Show at Western Springs this coming Saturday, 5 July.
And, if you are in the mood for some light refreshments, we will have Devonshire Tea available right next door to the show in our AHC rooms.

💐🌷💕Mother's Day treat - the Auckland Horticultural Council an association with the New Zealand Orchid Society presents the annual AUTUMN PLANT FAIR, and AUTUMN ORCHID SHOW.
Auckland Horticultural Council's AUTUMN PLANT FAIR will feature our usual crafts and collectables.
As a bonus for the day, the New Zealand Orchid Society will be there with hundreds of beautiful orchid blooms on display for their AUTUMN ORCHID SHOW. Orchid plants and supplies will also be for sale, along with specialist advice.
Due to renovations at our usual venue, this time the show will be held at the Owairaka District School at 113 Richardson Rd, Mt Albert. Open from 10am to 3pm.
This central venue has free parking and is easily accessible by public transport. EFTPOS will be available onsite.
