Soooooooo, what a season! The country has been subjected to so many weather extremes, making it a tricky one for Dahlia growers! We have been rather lucky in Auckland and I feel I have perfected my insect and fungal pressure protections after all these years! Our dahlias are looking really vibrant and their health is absolutely amazing 🤩 we receive lots of queries re 2026 tuber sales but please understand it is way too early to be trying to predict numbers. The tubers need another 4-6 weeks in the ground to finish growing and harden off, so that they overwinter in storage properly. Presales too early means disappointment when actual numbers are known, after overwintering, and experience has taught me that that’s waaaaay too stressful! So sit back and enjoy some eye candy of our gorgeous varieties over the next few weeks, while the plants finish making lovely tubers for us and we will keep you updated about sales once we have harvested, quality checked and have accurate info.
