Oxalis triangularis is one of my all time favorite. I call mine purple butterfly as it opens and closes everyday with the sun. It is usually propagated by dividing the corms. But you can just take a leaf off with a bit petiole and it will root in water. Great plants to share with friends.🥰

Black ZZ is finally available in NZ! I have always loved ZZ plant because how low maintenance it is. I had a green ZZ on my office desk. Most of my colleagues think it’s a fake plastic plant as the glossy looking leaves are always shinny and they never saw me looking after it. After 2 months lockdown without any watering, it not only just didn’t die but even sent out a new shoot!
I had kept my distance with plants in 2021 due to personal reasons. It was chaotic when I had to move and sell most of my plants. I have learnt not be the slave but master of plants. Now I am finally settled again, so happy to be back with my plants.

Anthurium is Greek for “tailflower” referring to the spadix that protrudes from the spathe like a tail. This is a Pigtail Anthurium – Anthurium scherzerianum which has curled spadix. Quite rare in NZ from my understanding.😻

Anthurium crystallinum x magnificum inherits the beauty of both of the parents and becomes one of the most beautiful Anthurium hybrids.

You can differentiate it from other similar species by its quadrangular (four-sided) or C-Shaped petioles.

This is a belated post for my fastest growing plant Minima.
It’s growing like bamboo. Constantly reaching to the ceiling. It is also very easy to root in water for single leaf cuttings.
This is one of the baby plants and I just love the light green or yellowish juvenile leaves. Living my $8k fantasy.🤣
