HOME Interior of the year and BEST Awards finalist project, our 6x6m treehouse home is located on the beautiful Breamtail coast, surrounded by 360 degrees of greenery.

The home is layered in a palette of high quality timber finishes from the floor to the ceiling and includes macrocarpa milled from trees located on the site itself.

This home was designed as a modular home that could be scaled and prefabricated to create more sustainable and affordable, high quality housing.

In renovating this home, we worked closely with a wonderful client to create a simple and yet elegant palette that included herringbone oak flooring, carrara marble, solid walnut cabinetry, fluted glass and brass. Having a client who was detail oriented helped us create something that was meticulously detailed with an uncomplicated feel.

We’ve been away working hard over the past year and we are ready to start sharing our work again! We will need to play a little catch up for a while first!

Really excited and thankful to all the voters to win the Reader’s choice Award at the 2023 HOME Interior of the Year Awards!

For the interiors of this project we worked closely with a wonderful client to create a simple and yet elegant palette that included herringbone oak flooring, carrara marble, solid walnut cabinetry, fluted glass and brass. Having a client who was detail oriented helped us create something that was meticulously detailed with an uncomplicated feel.

A close up view of the timber screen that wraps our World Architecture Awards (WAF) finalist project - a contemporary boatshed home by the sea.

The screen provides the perfect modulation for light and privacy and was hand made and finished by a single person.

We used timber decking in our treehouse home bathrooms to continue the same organic materiality and give a relaxed feel underfoot. External shutters behind the glass louvres and a full skylight above opens out to the beautiful vista of the Breamtail coast. The home is layered in a palette of high quality timber finishes from the floor to the ceiling and includes macrocarpa milled from trees located on the site itself. We always aim to create spaces that are both sustainable and beautiful. Lighting is from the talented guys
