Small or Large Jobs I have been a landscaper for 10+ years now. Everyday I am learning, it is never ending.

I work full time for Mace Landscape Group and work weekends growing my business. I have had Samscapes Landscaping running now for 8+ years, started out small offering garden maintenance and over the years have seen it grow into something special, I am very proud of my work and the standard that I offer. I have completed levels 1,2,3 & 4 NZHITO landscape courses. I have a 5 year plan of going out o

My client approached me seeking to transform her backyard into a more inviting space for barbecues and gatherings around her outdoor fireplace.

Samscapes enhanced the area by installing a channel drain along the perimeter of the house, ensuring a level entryway. We then incorporated synthetic turf and pavers in front of the fireplace, creating a warm and welcoming space for relaxation and entertainment.

The results speak for themselves. It was a pleasure to bring my client's vision to life and create a beautiful, functional outdoor retreat for her to enjoy with family and friends.

A friend of mine came to me and asked if we could help him with his property they just moved into.

They have a small family and they wanted an area where they felt safe to have the kids play and also a area they could use for entertaining friends.

Samscapes came in and installed this split level deck area along with tidying up the garden that was tired and falling apart.

They originally wanted to have steps that ran the length of the deck, but I talked them into adding 2 raised gardens to break the areas up, and they were stocked with the way this turned out.

Here is another project we finished in 2023.

The owner of this property needed to remove the existing pool as the kids had outgrown it and were just starting to cause problems.

They contacted Samscapes to come up with a concept for an area that they could enjoy and entertain.

We came in and leveled the backyard and added new retaining and drainage along with a new 1.8mH fence.

We poured a new concrete pad with expansion cuts to give the look of large pavers along with an acid etch to added grip.

We utilized pavers they had onsite to link the existing deck to the new entertaining area and the clients added in the aluminoum pergola.

Finish off with Rolawns Tall Fescue ready lawn.

What an amazing transformation.

The homeowner of this property got in touch with me to help rescue this area for them and turn it into a much more usable space.

Samscapes came in and ripped everything up and created an area the family will be able to use all year round.

The homeowner were wanting to install the balustrading and handrails themselves.

It's amazing how much brighter and bigger the area feels when using a wider Pine decking board.

This deck would of looked amazing when originally built 30 years ago.

The Eculaptus decking boards started to give way under foot and the deck became an unsafe place to entertain, which is a shame as its such an amazing space.

Samscapes came in and removed all the old boards, added support to the framing where needed and extended part of the deck by 24m2.

We then added a 140 x 19 Mahogany Decking board to match the interior floor boards screwed down with Stainless Steel decking screws.

It's amazing how much bigger the deck looks just using a wider board.

My client can now enjoy this deck all year round without any worries of someone falling through the decking boards.

Samscapes were tasked to give this outdoor space a new lease of life.

This deck was unsafe and the homeowner couldn't use it for what it was made for.

We came in and completely demolished the poorly built deck and laid new 140 x 19 Kwila decking boards.

My client was then able to create a beautiful outdoor living space by adding comfortable outdoor furniture and a pergola for all year round comfort.

Here is a job Samscapes completed before last year.

Our client wanted to create a level lawn for their downstairs sleepout and have more privacy throughout the property.

The old fencing was falling apart and became dangerous.

Samscapes came in and removed the old fencing and created a much more useful and private property for the homeowners to enjoy.

Here's a small job I managed to complete before lockdown.

Transforming this backyard into an area for edibles as they love to cook.

We added a Weeping Cherry tree into the new seeded lawn for a central feature to sit under on a nice sunny afternoon.

The owners were delighted with the overall project including the extra usable space that was created by Samscapes.

It was a wet and wild Saturday last week so no power tools could be used.

So I decided to knock this small job out of the way.

Remove planter box and lower climber.

Remove couple rows of bricks and create a soft garden to help with drainage.
