How far is the range of the laser?

The accuracy of Flexijet 3D is 0.9mm for every 10m. That is, at 20m the accuracy is 1.8mm, at 30m it is 2.7mm etc. Even though the laser itself can measure well in excess of 150m, referencing Flexijet 3D and moving it closer to the target will provide a more precise result. Referencing Flexijet 3D is a simple process and is covered in the initial training.

This project involved the scribing of a circular sunken lounge where stonework had to be installed. This measurement task was completed in 20 minutes!

After this time, an accurate digital template of the entire sunken lounge area including the variations in height of the lower and upper floor levels was scanned in the model. The file was then exported as a DXF and emailed from the construction site back to the office for the in-house designers to work with. A task was completed with ease and with an accuracy of 0.9mm.

A heritage-listed building suffered severe damage from a fire.

Accurate site measurement of the fire-damaged roof structure was required in order to carefully plan its restoration. In their initial budget for the restoration, the client had allowed 40 hours to complete the site measure… they obviously had not heard about Flexijet 3D!

After only 7 hours of measuring with the Flexijet 3D system, we were able to create an accurate and detailed 3D CAD file… in only one-fifth of the time estimated for completion!

Using the automated surface scan feature of Flexijet 3D, the height differences of the existing floor were easily determined.

In less than 3 hours, a complete 3D CAD file containing all the necessary information and reference points was created. This provided the parquetry professionals with accurate dimensions to the nearest millimetre for the calculation and production of the new flooring.

With Flexijet 3D, it was easy to capture all measurements and curves in CAD three-dimensionally. The time-consuming process of making MDF or cardboard templates was thankfully avoided and the digital templates created with Flexijet 3D were immediately ready for CNC processing and production.

The result… perfectly fitting stair parts, that were quickly installed without any additional reworking on site. A profitable job completed to the full satisfaction of the client… made possible with Flexijet 3D.

A scenic lookout needed urgent maintenance including the replacement of its decking.

Due to the unusual angular shape of the lookout, precise measurements were required to estimate the decking required and preferably have it pre-cut before transporting it to the site.

Manual measurement would have taken considerable time and so Flexijet 3D was given the opportunity to complete the job.
