Happy New Year to everyone. This is our official week back to work, but in reality it's been 2 weeks and a full on two weeks. We've pretty much hit the ground running, guess that's still a good thing.
We've found these fantastic specimens of Trachelospermum (star jasmine), great evergreen climbers with fragrant white flowers. We're looking forward to finding other great specimens from growers this summer which we can keep you informed about.

I was sitting at the traffic lights today and saw this. Old school scaffolding made up of second hand timber. I don't know if I would feel safe on it and I'm left pondering if ACC would pay out in the event of an accident!

Saturday 23rd November 2013 - Members from the Takapuna BNI group volunteering time to upgrade the North Shore Hospice in Shea Terrace. The Takapuna BNI group held a fundraising event which provided enough funds to get the gardens underway. With our plant knowledge we were able to come up with a planting plan that would provide screening from street noise as well as colour. With Bruce leading the charge on the landscaping side of things and a great effort from the BNI volunteers and family members the garden is certainly a new attraction. What an awesome bunch of people, thank you so much for your time and effort. It was such a scorcher of a day, hopefully some of you made it down to the beach afterwards to cool off.
