It was an absolute pleasure to help Johann get his property ready to list. Months ago we tended to the big hedges and most recently some serious maintenance, & install of a path & new indoor and outdoors plants. It’s looking ready for its new owners.

It was an absolute pleasure to return to one of our soft landscaping projects, completed back in 2021. New plants, ponga log & bark path, and medium height trees planted, as well as small pots and a bird bath purchased for the deck and garden.

This was always a tricky site, so the planting needed to be tough, dry-tolerant and not grow too large. The brief was also to bring in plenty of colour and, most importantly, create a garden that would attract lots of birdlife.

Fast forward to 2026, and I was lucky enough to get the call for Stage Two — transforming and adding more planting to the back garden.

It’s so rewarding to see how the original garden has matured over the past five years, and both my customer and I are delighted with how this next stage has come together.

Now we just can’t wait to watch the birds roll in!

Two years on… and simply breathtaking.

I designed and installed this garden from a completely blank space, working with a warm orange and yellow planting palette which my customer insisted on having as she’s obsessed with all things orange. The tricky part was she didn’t want irrigation so the plants needed to be self sufficient mostly, except for the lemon which she does water regularly.

Now, three years later, seeing it mature like this is incredibly rewarding. The planting has filled out beautifully, the lemon tree is thriving underneath, and the layers of colour and texture have come together exactly as I imagined.

There’s something pretty special about returning to a garden you created and seeing just how beautiful it has become.

We’re doing some native planting for  my lovely customers in Birkenhead. These gorgeous natives and Escallonia are going on a bank  behind the house and we get to carry some maintenance out on their lovely property and admire the stunning flowers that are popping up from previous years planting efforts.
