We maintain this garden for more than 8 years, but within on month now we've had 3 sightings of a Kākā and Ruru.
We never encountered them in a residential area before. Even more impressive as the Ruru usually is nocturnal.

While we've prepared many properties for open-homes and sales over the years, it does not happen often, that one of 'our' properties hits the market after more than a decade maintaining it.

It has been a useful helper for the last decades, but with more and more concerns about negative side effects for nature and humankind, we decided to act faster than most governments around the world and stop the use of Glyphosate (e.g. in Round-Up) as a w**dspray NOW. The last batch has just been used up and we won't get a new one. From the New Year we'll be using alternative methods of w**d-control including proven eco-friendly sprays. We know that there is no spray on the market yet that is as effective as Glyphosate, but we think that the health of the environment, animals, and staff using it should always be first priority!
