Boundary Fence Replacement – Project Update
Even though we deal directly with one client, we always coordinate with everyone involved. Anyone who’s worked around boundary lines knows things can get interesting, so keeping communication clear and consistent is key.
This project involved removing the old boundary fence and installing a brand‑new one. What sounded simple came with a few challenges. The existing fence was built on a concrete mowing edge, which meant cutting the old posts off at ground level and trimming back the concrete to make room for new posts.
Access was another factor — a tight shared ROW meant deliveries had to be carefully managed so neighbours could still come and go without disruption. As always, the best tool for that was communication. Keeping everyone in the loop kept the process smooth and the peace intact.
The project is now complete. We installed the new fence, built a matching gate, tidied the entire area, and left everything looking clean, sharp, and well‑finished. Everyone’s happy with the result, and it’s a great start to the year.

For these fences we normally install a 150mm x 50mm H4 base board. This helps prevent the palings from rotting and protects them from lawnmowers, weed‑eaters, and general wear and tear.
Another complication on this job is access. It’s a tight site on a shared ROW, so we’ve got to manage deliveries carefully and make sure we’re not blocking neighbours coming or going. The best tool for that is simple — communication. Keeping everyone in the loop makes the whole process smoother and keeps the peace while we get the work done.

Full Property Revamp – Progress Update
Following on from yesterday’s post, here’s the next stage of this full property transformation. We’ve moved from the initial clean‑out and prep work into building the structure that will shape the new outdoor spaces.
What’s Taking Shape Now
• Boundary fencing going in — new lines, new levels, and a clean, modern look
• Deck framing underway — floor‑level design to create seamless indoor–outdoor flow
• Site shaping continues as we prep for garden boxes, pathways, and the fire‑pit zone
• Drainage improvements now tied into the rear section so the space stays dry year‑round
Next Steps
From here, the deck will take shape, the new paths will be poured, and the gardens will start to frame the space. This is where the whole design really begins to show itself.
