In 2025, I completed a Certificate in Permaculture Design. I endeavour to apply these learnings within my garden design practice. This approach goes beyond purely sustainable and organic gardening; it considers how a landscape can function as a living system, where each element interacts to support and benefit both people and the wider environment.π‘
Key aspects of this approach include building and nurturing soil health, incorporating companion planting strategies, designing with resilient and renewable resources, and fostering community engagement. π» The aim is to create gardens that are productive, regenerative, and deeply connected to their site and neighbourhood context.
Below is my own vegetable garden, where I have begun observing and 'experimenting'. π I look forward to this new journey of discovering the opportunities permaculture can bring for my clients, friends and family.
