Very interesting read by ArchDaily.com. We, as Aucklanders can definitely relate to the predicament of altering an existing urban fabric to fit modern urban requirements, without the ability for a tabula rasa. Beginning a city from scratch sounds like a utopian dream but its outcome is defined by much greater economic dreamweavers than ever seen before. Time will tell how future proof these models are and what we may be able to learn from them.

Every urban planner has fantasized about designing a city from scratch and luckily for some, this dream is morphing into concrete opportunities.
