This 3000m² podium landscape balances architectural precision with long-term performance — integrating resilient native planting, specimen trees, and layered green infrastructure designed for biodiversity, privacy, and durability in a high-density environment.

The flying fox at Kaipātiki Reserve is officially up and running — and it’s already doing exactly what it should… sending kids flying and smiles with it.

Delivered as part of a wider destination playground, this piece is all about energy, freedom and connection to the landscape. From ground shaping and infrastructure through to the finished play experience, every detail was considered to create something that feels effortless — but performs at scale.

Proud to have brought this to life alongside a wider transformation of the reserve, turning it into a space the whole community can enjoy.

A beautiful afternoon at Te Tātua a Riukiuta.

12 months on from completion, the tracks we built continue to settle gently into the landscape — doing what they should: guiding people, protecting the whenua, and allowing this significant place to be experienced with care.

Part of Ngā Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau — the 14 sacred volcanic cones and historic pā sites of Auckland — this project is about more than access. It’s about respect, restoration, and ensuring these spaces endure for generations to come.

Proud to have played a role in shaping a light-touch intervention within such an important landscape.

Taking shape in Mangawhai.

Mangawhai Central is well underway — a large-scale landscape design & build that’s starting to show its intent. Strong lines, layered spaces, and a coastal-informed palette coming together to create something that will feel both grounded and elevated.

From bulk earthworks and structure through to the fine detail in materials and planting, this is a project where every move matters. Designed to handle scale, but crafted to feel considered at every touchpoint.

Still under construction — but already setting the standard.

It’s no wonder this space took home the 2025 Healthy Park Award!
Congratulations to our GreensceneNZ Landscapes construction tream! We’re incredibly proud of our work as the main contractor on this massive re-development in Parakai. From the initial civil works and flood mitigation to the installation of the epic new flying fox currently under construction, this project has been all about respecting the land and it’s people.
