What is a honed benchtop?
You’ll probably hear us talking about ‘honed benchtops’ when planning your kitchen or bathroom, so you maybe wondering what they are.

A honed finish on your natural stone will have a smooth finish with little to no shine. The end look will vary depending on the type of stone that is being honed. It can range from a matte appearance to a low sheen. Honing can make the stone look lighter or washed out, especially when applied to dark surfaces.

This process is best suited to a relaxed and casual feel whilst keeping the high-class look of the granite.

All the way from Brazil, this stone is dark black with a wispy smoke pattern. The whimsical markings are unique on every slab and the result is individual and beautiful.

Finishes available are generally polished (high gloss) or honed (matt/satin).
