Before & After | Manly, Whangaparāoa, Auckland

Another quality project completed by Shaun at Icon Design and Build.

We started with the replacement of a boundary fence between the clients and their neighbours. The existing fence had seen better days and was old, mouldy and wonky. The new fence took less than 24 hours and was an instant facelift.

Auckland’s notorious wet weather had seen the side and rear concrete paths settle and move and in heavy rains water was sometimes getting into the garage.

The installation of an integrated channel drainage system and new concrete paths has future-proofed the house against mother nature and given a fresh look - complete with concrete pad for the rubbish bins.

No job is too small for us and during the project we also;

-Replaced damaged cedar weatherboards
-Installed fixed draught stops to several internal doors.
-Installed door stops on several internal doors.
-Fixed the hinges on the kitchen pantry doors
-Sourced and installed a new custom-fit splash back in the kitchen from Bunnings, cut to size and fitted on site for a cost-effective, sleek and modern finish.

This coastal property is now future-proofed, functional and modern.

Before & After ✨ | Waipuna Estate, Tai Tapu

Here’s a look at a recently completed job by Shaun from Icon Design and Build at the beautiful Waipuna Estate wedding venue, in the hills above Tai Tapu, Canterbury.

The original seat top was rotting and well past its best — we replaced it with Garapa hardwood decking for a clean, durable, and long-lasting finish.

A recessed channel has also been installed, ready for LED strip lighting to be added at a later stage. 💡

A beautiful seating area to match the stunning views from this great location.

Here’s a project we’ve recently finished…
The original deck on this coastal property was attached directly to the house, causing water to soak through and damage the exterior flooring.
The deck was removed and rebuilt to allow an air gap, extra strengthening was added to future-proof for a spa pool and a new privacy screen with incorporated pergola was designed and built.
Fentec fencing and balustrades finished the project and ensure a low-maintenance and stylish future for the owners and their pets.
