Building is in my blood. I've been in the trade since leaving high school in the late seventies (oops, did I just give away my age?!), and know the business like the callused palm of my hand. Whilst I mostly leave the actual building work to my trusted and skilled team of builders, I'm fully involved with projects right from conception stage, offering ideas and expert opinion with home owners. GMac Builders are currently in the process of carrying out earthquake strengthening work to the 7-storey SPARK Communications building in Hereford Street. These new brackets are designed to allow the tilt panels to flex on the exterior of the building in the event of an earthquake.

Here's what our client had to say about this stunning transformation ... "We asked GMac Builders to take on a large-scale outdoor project to build a deck, pergola, and sandpit. Early on, the work had to be discussed and coordinated with an earthworks company and an architect. Very professional and knowledgeable, Geoff and his team were able to come up with good solutions to work around any potential issue that came up. Our foreman, Greg, built the deck and pergola to a very high degree of workmanship leading to an outstanding end result. The large outdoor area that GMac Builders has built for us has completely transformed the house and we enjoy it every day. This was not our first time doing a building project with GMac Builders and once again, we were thrilled with their professionalism and excellence that made for a smooth and stress-free build. Rather than selling up, our clients have opted to stay put and renovate! Here we see a 42sqm extension underway to create a new master bedroom/ensuite, plus an additional bedroom. As well as this we're turning an existing bedroom into a new bathroom and separate toilet, installing a new kitchen, and re-roofing the entire house .. it'll soon feel like a new home😊
