Testing of the American Road Patch

🚧 UPDATE 20/12/22: This work has been delayed due to rain and will continue through Wednesday 21 December. Thanks for your patience. 🚧

🚧 UPDATE 16/12/22: Contractors will be carrying out more work on Monday and Tuesday next week with stop/go traffic management continuing. This is to tighten brackets under the bridge and install steel plates on the bridge.

While we appreciate this is causing frustration for some people, it's important that this work is completed before Christmas. The bridge will be open over the weekend. Thanks for your patience 🚧

🚧Urgent repairs on the Waimakariri Gorge Bridge started today and stop/go traffic management is in place. There will be lengthy delays of up to one hour. This work should be completed by the weekend.

Further repairs of the timber deck and the sealed surface are planned for early 2023. Thank you for your patience.🚧
