From abstract too abstract realism. I haven’t posted on social media for sometime as I’ve been teaching myself to draw & paint in order to bring my fluid art to life, my goal is to paint my grandchildren who have moved to Australia in order to feel closer to them, the image I have chosen is from ‘unsplash’ for practice & not personal to me, but I fell in love with her while using charcoal & pastel to draw her. Please help me grow by critiquing my work, it would be so appreciated.

Arts Canterbury Art Show at The Russley Village
73 Roydvale Avenue, Burnside, Christchurch
10am - 4pm Saturday 24th and 10am - 3pm Sunday 25th May

Held on the 24th and 25th May, the 2025 annual event at The Russley Village will feature the work of over 45 Arts Canterbury Artists. Not only will you find traditional paintings and drawings on show in a variety of styles, but also jewellery, ceramics and stone sculptures. There will be something there to appeal to everyone!
