Following on from the post & link below, here's some before and after photos of this awesome little entrance garden in Hokitika. The clients were parents of close friends of mine, and they asked for something easy-care, but with a bit of impact. I've had a lot of requests recently to visit a site and simply walk around with the client and advise on things from plant maintenance (both old and new), to pest and diseases, to a new path or deck layout. Maybe an on-site visit is just up your alley?

I was lucky enough to be asked to design this tiny courtyard in 2017. When I was recently asked back to help with the house entrance, this wee area just made me smile. The lovely client says she uses it A LOT, and I'm not surprised... Wouldn't you?

IS YOUR GARDEN LOOKING TIRED?

DO YOU NEED A GARDENER YOU CAN RELY ON?

It's been a long time coming, but I am now super excited to be offering a soft-garden maintenance service for existing gardens, either on-going, or one-offs. Let me come and rip out those weeds, trim those shabby shrubs and hedges, and clip those topiaries back into shape!

Anybody who knows me will be aware of how passionate I am about getting out in the garden and doing the hard yards, so this is the icing on the cake for me and my design business. Make no mistake, I am definitely still designing (of course!), but I feel the time is right for a natural progression into my favourite hobby in the world - gardening.

Please note: This service does not include landscape construction, large areas of planting or plant removal, or tall hedge trimming, but I will be able to recommend contractors to cover these larger jobs :) All weeds/trimmings will be removed from site.

A small but very challenging site in Redcliffs, complete with concrete sea-wall, and a water-table that sits just 100mm below the ground surface... This lovely client needed something that not only looked stylish all year around, but that was simply going to survive! Artificial turf and paving make up the ground surface, with all plants being coast and salt-tolerant. Watch this space for updates as this site establishes...

Darfield 5000m2 Lifestyle Block - front entrance and lawn. This design is huge, and an on-going project for the young family involved. Planting has now mostly been in for a season in the front, and no doubt the are about to move on to the next phase - entertainment areas and boundary planting around the back - when Covid allows... Watch this space...
