Fence It NZ is growing, and we’re on the lookout for a hard-working, reliable Fence Installer to join our residential fencing crew. If you take pride in a job well done and enjoy working outdoors, we want to hear from you!

🔨 What You’ll Be Doing:
• Installing a variety of residential fences (timber, panel, picket, pool fencing, etc.)
• Setting out fence lines, digging holes, setting posts, fixing rails and palings
• Reading basic site plans and measuring accurately
• Using power tools and construction equipment safely
• Keeping worksites clean and professional

✅ What We’re Looking For:
• Previous fencing or general construction experience preferred
• Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, manual work
• Good with tools and basic measurements
• Reliable transport and a current NZ driver’s licence
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong work ethic

• Site Safe
• Experience operating a digger with a auger or post-hole borers
• A keen eye for straight lines and tidy finishes

We do a lot of high spec multi unit developments
From boundary fences,dressed front fences, gates, decks and retaining walls.
Our workdays are Mon-Friday with occasional Saturday work when required.
Hours are between 7.30am – 5pm.
Based in Christchurch

We have a great team and friendly atmosphere, and we love to work hard and ensure we enjoy each day.

Applicants must hold a current full driver’s license & have own transport.
Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid work visa, and the ability to pass pre-employment drug testing.

Pay rate depends on experience.

We are seeking a foreman level fence installer to join our growing team.

This role includes, but is not limited to - general labouring work, building a range of timber and metal fences, gates & retaining walls and collecting materials required for jobs. You will be working alongside other staff but may also be required to work on your own at times.
We have a number of projects on the go, and planned for the future across Canterbury. We are seeking someone punctual and reliable who will enjoy this physical but rewarding role. A competitive rate, company vehicle and phone may be offered to the right candidate.

Fencing Experience is preferred, but the ideal applicant will:

• Have a clean drivers license, with ability to drive with a trailer
• have experience in the building industry
• Be fit, strong and enjoy physical work
• Motivated, reliable and honest
• Have excellent communication skills
• Safety conscious
• Well organised with good time management
• Have problem solving skills, ability to use initiative and make quick decisions
• Have the legal right to work in NZ
• Applicants may be required to pass a pre employment Drug test
