Our little nursery is looking for volunteers to join our team! 🌿

By volunteering in our garden, you are not only supporting our plant nursery, but our māra kai, which grows fresh produce that goes directly into our pātaka kai and the foodbank to be given to those in need in our community.

If you would like to join our small team, please pop down and see us at Te Pūtahi Whaiora or give us a call on 07 866 8358.

We’re so grateful for James & Turner Hardware, Coromandel's generous donation of vegetable seeds for our māra kai and community garden.

Their support helps us continue growing fresh, healthy produce for our community and sharing gardening knowledge with others. 💚

We’ve added some fresh produce from our māra to the pātaka kai—please come and help yourself. 🥬

Sharing shelves like ours help reduce food waste, with New Zealand throwing away over 157,000 tonnes of food annually. You can make a big impact by donating non-perishable items like canned goods, rice, and pasta, as well as fresh produce from your garden, such as veggies, fruits, and herbs. By contributing, you’re helping whānau in our community put food on their tables while making our world a kinder, more sustainable place. 💚

You can find our Pātaka Kai outside Te Mana Tangata's orange cottage at 100 Pound Street, Coromandel.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to Driving Creek Pottery for generously firing the labels in their kiln free of charge. Their incredible support means a lot to not only us, but the participants at Te Mana Tangata. 💛
