Welcome to Tui Flat Garden
Welcome to Tui Flat Garden, Dannevirke, a new venture created out of the passion for gardening and the love of being outdoors, and the ability to share, fresh, spray free produce.
Four years ago I established one garden, now we have 16! The idea was to have fresh, healthy and spray free veges at my fingertips, to feed my family and friends. Now, with a large area dedicated to growing our food, we have a lot available, hence the idea to sell it locally.
Currently we are picking, potatoes, herbs, beetroot, silverbeet, spinach, lettuce, peas, zucchini, cabbages and broccoli. With a tonne of pumpkins and kumara growing well.
This week I have a huge variety of seedlings coming from Awapuni Nursery in Palmerston North, so I will be busy. As well as planting all the gardens will be refreshed with locally grown sheep poo and white butterfly proofing will be done!
