The first stage of a large project undertaken for the lovely ladies and gentlemen of the Hornby Daycare Facility. A substantial kwila deck with a stunning Oregon pergola above. Pine balustrades complete the safety aspect. The second stage, to clear an area for extra parking and construct a full height veg bed.
The last stage, yet to be completed will comprise of concrete pathways and a bowls area. A pleasure to carry out and a wonderful outdoor space for the residents to enjoy.

A stunning pair of entrance gates, made in our workshop and fitted for a client in Kirwee.
Constructed from H3 Treated, planed pine. Finished with galvanized fittings

Large project, consisting of fence, constructed of Ironsand colorsteel with a trellis top. Veg beds, compost bin and archway. Finished off with lime chip. Paved area for Barbeque and outdoor fire and new lawn seeded

Earlier on this year, we designed and completed a very large, project for a fabulous client in West Melton. In conjunction with our son Ben at Lucas Build, we constructed two buildings, one housing four stables and the other a tack room, feed room, hay store and an extra stable. A wash down and tie up area with associated drainage and a driveway and yard area completed the space.

A bespoke post box commissioned to mirror the beautiful house it belongs to. Built in Linea with a colour steel roof and flashings. Black wrought iron hinges finish the doors.

While everyone was enjoying the Christmas festivities, we began a job at Darfield Preschool & Nursery. We had to dig out a mountain of sand and construct a deck around the sand pit area. Under pressure to complete while the little people were out of the way, we had two weeks to finish the project. After excavating the sand, a concrete wall was discovered that edged the previous sand pit, so the framing had to be fitted around it. The Kwila deck had two steps on angles and a larger area joined the existing deck. We did the same on a smaller scale in the tiny tots section. Turf was then relaid around the edge to finish off.

We have just come back down to earth after a fabulous week in Te Anau to celebrate our daughters wedding. Charged with building an archway for the ceremony, we went on the hunt for some suitable timber. Manapouri Station provided some fabulous Manuka which was perfect for the job. The flower arranging was a family affair and topped off with an impressive set of antlers, it provided a great window with a stunning backdrop of the Takitimu mountain range

Another school, another project. This time construction of a large, timber, stunning Gazebo for Darfield Preschool. The weather was kind and because it was in an area outside of the main playground, we were fenced off from lots of little helpers !! The machine was extremely useful in lifting up the A frames and placing the main timbers. A fabulous addition to their outside space, which makes quite a statement.

A fabulous new seating area constructed for the little people at Greendale School. We had a tight window to carry out the work while the children were on holiday and of course the weather didn't play ball, conditions were a little testing ! The seating was built around 3 cherry trees which will provide some great shade in the heat of the summer, and some much needed extra space. A retaining timber edge surrounds the area with grey chip in the base.
