We are looking for an experienced excavator operator to join our team. As our operator you will be responsible for the excavation on a range of works from driveways, crossings and kerbing to carparks and paths. You will be comfortable working autonomously or in a small crew, and have the skills and motivation to produce high quality work. Duties may include driving of up to Class 4 vehicles, including cartage and general laboring at times.
• At least 3 years’ experience operating an Excavator with a variety of attachments
• Full NZ Drivers licence, minimum Class 2, up to Class 4 an advantage.
• Current WTR licence
• Able to complete basic maintenance and care for equipment
• Experience with a range of construction machinery an advantage
• Ability and willingness to work safely and be responsible for the safe operation of sites
• High attention to detail
• A keen team player who is reliable and highly motivated
• Good work ethic with the ability to complete tasks autonomously
• Problem-solving abilities.

We are looking for an experienced asphalter to join our team. This job is for the kind of person who wants to be a part of a crew who take pride in their workmanship, use their initiative, and show up on time 5 days a week.
You’ll need a clean driver’s license with Class 2. WTR, TC and/or STMS would be an advantage. You’ll get to work on a range of jobs from residential to commercial, as well as the opportunity to develop new skills and enjoy the company of a close-knit team.
If you can’t function on Fridays or pass a drug test this is not for you.
Full-time, fixed term.

Our Aussie-import paver has had a make-over. Thanks to Mark at ImageArtSigns for the graphics, Gary at ShawsTracks for sourcing new tracks, Fulton Hogan for some mechanical finessing, and of course all our crew at Asphalt Services who have helped to get the Black Pearl shipshape.
