Just a quick update from Macs’ Property Maintenance.
As the business continues to grow, we’re now officially GST registered, with this change taking effect from 6 April.
A little while ago, we mentioned a possible fuel surcharge due to rising costs. We’ve decided to pause that for now, as GST registration will already mean a small increase to pricing.
GST will apply to all services carried out from 6 April onward, and this will be reflected on any invoices issued for work completed after that date.
Thank you so much for your continued support. It means a lot to our family as the business grows.

Kia ora whanau,

With the recent rise in fuel prices, we wanted to give our regular lawn customers an early heads up.

At this stage, there are no price changes and we are doing our best to absorb the extra cost ourselves. As a small family-run business, we always try to keep our pricing as fair and affordable as possible for our regular clients.

That said, if fuel prices continue to rise or remain high for an extended period, we may need to introduce a temporary fuel surcharge for regular lawn services.

This would not be a permanent increase (unless fuel prices stayed up indefinitely), and if it becomes necessary, we will always communicate clearly and give notice first.

We truly appreciate the support our regular clients show us, and we wanted to be upfront with you before making any decisions.

Kia ora,

We understand that times are tough and truly appreciate the support our customers give our small family business. However, we have noticed some accounts are falling behind, which is starting to impact us as well.

Moving forward, we will not be able to carry out services if there is more than one outstanding invoice at the time of your scheduled mow.

If services are paused due to unpaid invoices and lawns become overgrown beyond normal maintenance, a new quote will be required to bring the property back to maintenance standard.

We have never charged overdue fees and would prefer not to, but if late payments continue to be an ongoing issue, this may need to be introduced.

We are happy to discuss payment plans for those going through a difficult time — please just communicate with us.

Here we go again! Please make sure you keep your gutters clear, and if you need any help let us know! Keeping your gutters clear all year around ensures you keep yourself and your home as safe as possible during these rain events, as water ingress is a very real consequence of blocked guttering!
