Buy NOW and Save! Strawberry Camarosa (short day variety) are available NOW. Bundles of 10 plants for $16.99. In another week we will begin potting the plants. This will be an increase to around $4.50 PER PLANT. So buying now will save you about $20 per 10 plants. Camarosa flowers are activated by being exposed to day length less than 12 hours so it is important to plant them at this time of year. Ours are the best and cheapest strawberries in town. For the price of a punnet you get 10 plants which will keep you well supplied leading up to and including Christmas Day. These plants will be bare rooted so will need to be kept moist in sawdust or heeled into some soil (see photo) until planted. Plant in a sunny well drained situation (mound) with plenty of compost and use straw or similar mulch to keep in moisture and reduce weeds over spring and summer. Feed regularly with Strawberry or general garden fertiliser for best results.

Carex and other strappy grasses provide colour, movement and texture to your garden. They are great mass planted or used as a border or edging and can complement both native and exotic gardens. The contrast with broader leafy plants is pleasing to the eye and they are generally easy care and no fuss to grow. We have a range of varieties in different colours, some which are great in wetland areas (secta, virgata, dipsacea), others for normal soil conditions (testacea, buchanii, everlime, eversheen etc).
