Largest girth on a tree, felled to date!

This 160 year old Gum tree sadly had to get the chop 🪓 It was much too close to the road and had some limbs ready to fail. Safety for the community is our top priority when it comes to trees!

Epiiiic day up this Araucaria heterophylla! Commonly known as a Norfolk Pine.

This notable (protected) tree was such a pleasure to climb.

From my knowledge this tree was easily over 100 years old and has the widest base on a Norfolk that I’ve ever personally seen! About 40 metres tall.

We set up a swing in the tree which isn’t something we do everyday and inspected for any decay or defects we could find, top to bottom. Good news though the tree is in fantastic health with only one defect half way up, where a branch was lost in the past. Healed over considerably well.

Feels good to look out for and care for a super old historic tree in Napier like this one. Also respect to the owners for caring and contacting us to do the inspection! Peace in knowing this tree will be around for many years to come!

Oh man it’s raining, better stay home…. Jokes! Doesn’t stop us!!

This hazardous eucalyptus got the all go for the chop this week. ⚠️

Must say it’s a lot like ice skating at some stages when climbing these bad boys in the rain. Made for a good challenge. And some really nice burning wood the left for a happy client. (Note : the stump was requested to be left at that height as the new mailbox stand 😁)

Shout outs to East Coast Traffic for running the stop go on this one.

Proud to say we have been supplying the Hawkes Bay Golf Course with our services for many days! 💥

Removing and topping out trees for its neighbour, areodrome. We all love large mature trees but for the safety of others, they occasionally have to be removed. Planes taking off and landing on the strip were getting too close for comfort to certain trees on the course. Our best option for a few of them was full remove instead of destroying the structure of the trees with a serve topping.

Shout out to Chris for moving all the large wood with his Hiab and Ash for jumping on as our digger operator feeding the chipper with his digger! We will be collaborating a lot more with these two in future and their top tier operating skills 🏅
